However, when secrets are no longer kept in confidence, they can instead elicit pity. It is my wish that the secrets that lie beyond the bridge, and which cannot be unseen once revealed against the backdrop of a beautiful landscape, will finally be laid bare.

There are reports that crossing the bridge from North Korea requires a North Korean's year's salary and that many have lost their lives in the attempt. I hope that the veil of secrecy that shrouds this crossing will be lifted, and that transparency will prevail.
