A Hub for European Immigrants

As I traverse the lake, encircled by verdant forests and partially concealed abodes, it is common to encounter individuals strolling out of their estates, waving in greeting. Observing the denizens of these woodland abodes, I can sense their self-reliance and self-sufficiency, necessary traits when living amongst the trees.

Wisconsin has long been a hub for European immigrants, with numerous city names - including Geneva and Berlin - imported from the Old World. In addition to these established urban centers, there are smaller villages such as Little Switzerland and Little Norway, founded by European immigrants. Furthermore, while some cities were settled by affluent Europeans, others were established by hardworking European laborers who achieved success through their toil.
