An Autumn in A Thriving International City

It is often said that autumn brings with it a feeling of overwhelming stillness, but in my hometown, the season takes on a different character altogether. As I gaze up at the bird-fur clouds scudding across the sky above the rustling leaves underfoot, I am reminded that the year is drawing to a close.

Since the opening of the new airport on Yeongjong Island, Incheon has undergone rapid development. A thriving international city has emerged in nearby Songdo, and from my hotel window, I can see a veritable forest of new skyscrapers rising up across the city. While not yet as congested as Seoul, the streets are still bustling, and I can't help but feel a sense of pride in the richness and vibrancy of modern-day Korea.
