When I revisited Avalon in March, the island was shrouded in a haze amidst the intense sunlight and occasional sea breeze.
The clustered buildings on the mountain gave off a charming, village-like atmosphere rather than the isolation of a far-flung island. Children frolicked in the water, refreshed by street food and invigorated by midday hikes. It was a delightful scene that embodied the resort's appeal.
