The Footprints on the Sand Dunes

After walking for an hour or two, the only evidence of the presence on the sand dunes is the trail of footprints behind me. The dunes continue in a series of ups and downs, resembling the horizon. Despite the scorching sun that has tanned the face and left me parched, I push onward in search of another path.

In Death Valley, I can find a variety of notable attractions such as a sprawling sand dune, the below-sea-level Badwater Basin, and the stark badlands of Zabriskie Point that served as the backdrop for U2's Joshua Tree album. From the summit of Dante's Peak, the salt flats in the distance are visible. The Borax Museum provides a glimpse into the early mining period of the region.
